Patrick O'Connor artist, first exhibited at Art South Africa Today (1967) in Durban, South Africa. He went on to show in over forty one-man or group shows including twice at the Sao Paulo Biennale.
His work is represented in eleven public collections in South Africa as well as the National Gallery in Cape Town, the South African Embassy in Brussels and the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.
In Ireland he was better known as an educator than as a painter, having taught at the School of Art and Design, Dun Laoghaire, and in the Departments of Fine Arts and Visual Communication Design at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
Since 1999 he devoted himself solely to drawing and painting.
Patrick passed away in 2012 and this website was created to preserve his legacy and share his work with a global audience.
